Adding New Hardware
You've seen how the Windows 98 Setup program made hardware installation a breeze by detecting your devices automatically. You can get the same level of convenience after Windows 98 is installed by running the Add New Hardware Wizard. This Wizard essentially just runs the Detection Manager again with a few extra bells and whistles thrown in. If you'd prefer to specify the new device, or if you have a disk from the manufacturer, the Add New Hardware Wizard also lets you install individual devices by hand.
