Troubleshooting Fonts

Fonts, especially TrueType fonts, are a proven technology, so their implementation is fairly straightforward. However, a few things can go wrong. This section discusses a few of the most common problems and offers some solutions.

Your Font dialog boxes show only TrueType fonts, despite the fact that you have other kinds of fonts installed on your system.

If you don't see any other kinds of fonts in your Font dialog boxes, this means that Windows 98 has been set up to show only TrueType fonts. To remedy this, display the Fonts folder, select View | Folder Options, and head for the TrueType tab, shown in Figure 20.12.
