Chapter 10. Configuring and Maintaining Disks
In this chapter, you'll learn techniques for configuring and maintaining disks—and there's a lot more to this than most people realize. Windows Server 2008 and Windows Vista support hard disk drives as well as removable storage devices. Hard disk drives can be configured with two disk types, basic and dynamic, and two disk partition types, Master Boot Record (MBR) and GUID Partition Table (GPT). Removable storage devices have the Removable disk type.
