Summary

Before you install Windows EBS, you need to run the Preparation Wizard and then the Planning Wizard, both of which are made available through the Prerequisite Planning Tools CD. The Preparation Wizard primarily performs a health scan of your network and requires you to fix any errors that are found. Only when you fix these errors can you complete the wizard and then run the Planning Wizard. When you run the Planning Wizard, you primarily make decisions about how the firewall component of Windows EBS will fit into your current network.
