Managing Your GPOs in Production

When you’ve deployed AGPM in a domain, your GPOs are either controlled or uncontrolled. With controlled GPOs, you have offline copies of GPOs as well as live GPOs in production, and you also have additional management options, as discussed in "Managing Controlled GPOs" in Chapter 4.

Regardless of whether you’ve deployed AGPM, there are certain tasks that you’ll use to manage your GPOs in the live production environment. These tasks include:

  • Using starter GPOs

  • Creating and linking GPOs

  • Determining where GPOs are linked

  • Enabling, disabling, and removing GPOs

  • Enabling, disabling, and removing GPO links
