Summary

In this chapter, we have covered examples of the integration between Windows PowerShell and the Internet represented in web-related technologies such as web services and REST APIs. We also learned how to download files from the Internet and read web feeds such Atom and RSS. Moreover, we touched on working with JSON and how to covert a JSON-formatted string to PowerShell objects and vice versa.

In the next chapter, we will reach the destination of our PowerShell journey. The focus will be on the automation of the Microsoft Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) tool known as Visual Studio Team Foundation Server (TFS). We will understand how PowerShell is powerful even with pure development tools.
