Adding a read-only domain controller

Adding a read-only domain controller to an existing domain is only slightly different from adding a full domain controller to an existing domain. The process is a two-step procedure. First, the prerequisites must be installed, and then, following the reboot, the server is configured as a read-only domain controller. The prerequisite installation script can be simplified a bit from the prerequisite script developed in the previous section. The first portion of the script creates the static IP address and sets the DNS client to point to the DNS server running on the first domain controller that was installed.
