Chapter 7. Migrating to Windows Small Business Server 2011 Standard

With Microsoft Windows Small Business Server 2011 Standard (SBS 2011), there is no “upgrade” from any other version. The only way to preserve an existing deployment of SBS, including email and Active Directory, is to migrate to SBS 2011. This is true whether you’re coming from the 32-bit Windows Small Business Server 2003 (SBS 2003), the 64-bit Windows Small Business Server 2008 (SBS 2008), or another copy of SBS 2011.
