Deploying 802.1X Enforcement
The deployment of 802.1X enforcement consists of the following tasks:
Configuring Active Directory
Configuring a PEAP-based authentication method
Configuring 802.1X access points
Configuring remediation servers on the restricted network
Configuring NAP health policy servers
Configuring NAP clients
Configuring Active Directory
For Active Directory, you can optionally configure a security group for exempted computers.
To Create a NAP Exemption Security Group
In the console tree of the Active Directory Users and Computers snap-in, right-click your domain name, point to New, and then click Group.
In the Group Name box, type the name (such as NAP Exemptions), and then click OK.
