PowerShell is highly discoverable. You can use PowerShell to learn more about PowerShell. For us, this is one of its most important strengths. Every day that we use PowerShell, we learn a little more about it, and find more ways to do what we need to do. Three critical cmdlets make this possible:
Get-Command. Lists the available commands, allowing you to look for a cmdlet that might do what you are trying to do. It accepts wildcards and other parameters. Its alias is gcm.
Get-Help. Provides built-in help on available cmdlets and other built-in features such as functions and operators. Its alias is man.
Get-Member. Provides detailed information on various features that cmdlets support. Its alias is gm.
