Removable Storage

If you need to manage removable storage (tapes and writeable optical media), you can add the Removable Storage feature of Windows Server 2008. Removable storage has been deemphasized in Windows Server 2008, and you can no longer use it for backups or other functions, though third-party backup applications can still use tape.
