Using NPS in Windows Server 2008

Network Policy Server is the new implementation of Routing And Remote Access services from previous versions of Windows Server. As before, you can authorize remote access by user or by group to better suit your remote needs.

The server allows you to set configuration policies that are processed locally on the server or forwarded to remote RADIUS servers. It also allows you to set a policy of who is allowed to connect to the network and the circumstances of connection. Finally, it sets the required health policies as described in Chapter 24.
