Working With A Virtual Machine

Working with a Hyper-V Virtual Machine is almost identical to working with a physical computer. You should do virtually everything you need to do from the client operating system, just as you would on a physical computer. You can connect to the client operating system using Remote Desktop when that is a supported option, and you can always connect using the Virtual Machine Connection. This connection is to the virtual machine the same as the physical keyboard, mouse, and monitor of a physical computer. However, some actions need to be performed from the parent partition, either from the Hyper-V console or the from the menu bar of the Virtual Machine Connection.
