Remote Administration

As described earlier in this chapter, it is possible to manage Web servers, delegated sites and applications remotely with IIS Manager using the Management Service. Note that the Management Service itself can be configured only by administrators who are logged on locally. To enable this capability, you must install the Management Service Role Service: Select the local server in the Connection Manager Tree, double-click Management Service, and then click Enable Remote Connections in the Workspace pane.
