To implement 802.1x authentication, you must configure the RADIUS server and the WAP to implement RADIUS.

Configuring the RADIUS Server

In a Microsoft network, Network Protection Services (NPS) provides RADIUS capabilities on the network. To deploy NPS for wireless networking, you must do the following:

  1. Install the RADIUS server.

  2. Add the RADIUS server to the RAS and IAS Servers group.

  3. Define the RADIUS clients.

  4. Define a Wireless Computer network access policy.

  5. Define a Wireless User network access policy.
