Locking Down the Terminal Server
One of the new features in Windows Server 2008 Terminal Services is TS RemoteApps. TS RemoteApps blur the line between client and desktop by displaying remote applications alongside locally running applications, rather than in a separate desktop window. This makes it easier to avoid losing applications and can simplify training, because you don’t have to teach inexperienced users how to find the applications they need. No one ever sees a desktop; they just see the application they need to run. When the user closes the last TS RemoteApp they have open, the session ends.
