Comparing SharePoint Server and Windows SharePoint Services 3.0
As discussed in Chapter 1, organizations of all sizes can deploy WSS 3.0 to increase collaboration by promoting quick and efficient information sharing within SharePoint sites. SharePoint Server extends the capabilities of WSS 3.0 by providing portal functionality, enterprise search, and the powerful enterprise records management capabilities we discussed earlier in this chapter.
