Creating Custom Templates

Administrators can easily create custom templates by creating and customizing a site that they would like to use as an organizational site template. Regardless of whether sites are based on a team site, blank site, document workspace site, or any of the other available site templates, administrators can create custom site templates by using a Web browser or an application such as SharePoint Designer 2007, depending on the site’s requirements.
