Backing Up and Restoring with Office SharePoint Designer 2007
I have discussed the backup and restore options for SharePoint using both the SharePoint Central Administration and SQL Server 2005’s built-in tools. SharePoint Designer 2007 also enables you to back up and restore SharePoint sites. The following sections explain how you can use SharePoint Designer 2007 to perform these backup and restore functions.
Backing Up a Site with SharePoint Designer
A user can backup a site with SharePoint Designer by performing the following:
In SharePoint Designer, open the site you’d like to back up.
Go to Site menu and choose Administration, Backup Web Site, as shown in Figure 14-5.
