Microsoft Management Console (MMC) is an application that hosts tools for administering computers, networks, and other system components. Microsoft Management Console first appeared in Microsoft Windows 2000, and some consoles included with Windows Vista look identical to their earlier counterparts. Other consoles, however, take advantage of new features added to the Windows Vista version of MMC: the Action pane and support for a richer Details pane.
