Working with a Remote Computer’s Registry

You can use Registry Editor to connect to the registry of another computer on your network. Open the File menu, click Connect Network Registry, and then fill out the ensuing dialog box (shown in Figure 29-5) with the name of the computer to which you want to connect. If you don’t know the name of the computer, click Advanced and then click Find Now to display a list of computers on your network.

Type the name of the target computer in this dialog box.

The remote computer’s name appears as a top-level entry in the left pane, with its HKLM and HKU keys listed below, as shown in Figure 29-6.
