This appendix describes the final TSP launch meeting and your role in that meeting. It covers the subjects to review and the questions to ask. It also includes a brief Plan Assessment Checklist to guide you in this review.
The Executive Role in Team Building
When engineers complete the TSP launch process, they present their plan in a final management meeting. You or some other executive or senior manager must attend this meeting. When no senior manager shows up for the final meeting, the engineers feel that they have wasted their time and their work is not important. One key reason for holding the launch is to motivate the team and get them excited about the job. Your participation will help do this.
