Cloud VPNs, WANs, and Interconnects

When you deploy in the cloud, there will be the obvious decision as to how you will securely connect to the cloud infrastructure from your wireless devices, networks, or environment. The common choices are to use the cloud service provider’s VPN or interconnect configurations. These may be direct or supplied via a third-party carrier but either way, in the case of interconnects, the data must be encrypted. This is because many third parties just provide a communications channel; it's up to the business to encrypt the data as they see fit.
