Managing Network and User Devices

In addition to controlling network access and protecting data, larger organizations must also deal with the management of network (infrastructure) and client (user) devices. Unlike smaller organizations, where the IT staff (or an IT person) may know everyone in the company by name, this is often not the case in larger organizations. Most users are unknown. In addition, the sheer volume of users—plus the fact that many people now have multiple devices that connect—puts extra strain on the IT and security teams.
