About the Author
Vijay K. Garg has been a professor in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at the University of Illinois at Chicago since 1999, where he teaches graduate courses in Wireless Communications and Networking. Dr. Garg was a Distinguished Member of Technical Staff at the Lucent Technologies Bell Labs in Naperville, Illinois from 1985 to 2001. He received his Ph.D. degree from the Illinois Institute of Technologies, Chicago, IL in 1973 and his MS degree from the University of California at Berkeley, CA in 1966. Dr. Garg has co-authored several technical books including five in wireless communications. He is a Fellow of ASCE and ASME, and a Senior Member of IEEE.
