Personal initiative is about being a self-starter and making things happen instead of waiting for them to happen. This chapter introduces WOYG Principle #4: Personal Initiative, on the importance of taking personal ownership of your own success—of doing things before you’re told or asked to do them. Before circumstance crowds in and forces your hand. Before you see or hear someone else doing it. And before a sense of urgency is forced on you by a deadline.
