Chapter 10. Search Scenarios
This chapter walks you through two search scenarios to show some of the capabilities of Microsoft FAST Search Server 2010 for SharePoint (FS4SP). The scenarios start from scratch and build two different search solutions in Microsoft SharePoint. This chapter focuses on how you tune for relevance with static and dynamic rank. The two scenarios are:
Productivity search for an intranet site.
E-commerce search.
Each scenario shows different capabilities of FS4SP; however, the techniques used in one scenario can be applied to the other, and vice versa. All techniques used are, in fact, potentially applicable to any search scenario.
