The best way to prevent a problem from occurring in an organization is not to invite it through the door. Background screening is a process to determine suitability, integrity, and reliability of a candidate for a position as an employee, contractor, consultant, volunteer, or even a vendor. All of these constituent groups require background checks that have both similarities and differences.
