My inbox pinged today with a link to an article from the novelist Margaret Atwood entitled It’s Not Climate Change, It’s Everything Change, an expansive essay1 which imagines a point in the future where we have no oil. In a second a simple click pushes me through to the website for the full article, where I see that 27 minutes is the stated reading time and that, to date, over 1,000 people have favourited it.
I settle in for the half-hour read and at the end am rewarded with more suggestions for similar pieces of ‘Cli-Fi’ – themed features on climate change – which the website has specially commissioned and collected.
