Now you have Xcode. It’s time to start it up to see what it looks like.
The developer tools are all in the
/Developer directory at the root of your boot drive. Go there in the Finder, and select the
Applications directory. You see a few applications and a few folders. You’re interested in two of them: Xcode, which is what this book is about; and Instruments, a sophisticated memory and performance profiler that you’ll be seeing a lot of.
