6.4 EXTENSIBLE STYLESHEET LANGUAGE TRANSFORMATIONS (XSLT)
We have had an overview of XSL earlier. We have also studied the XPath technology in detail. These two
together are sufficient for us to now start discussing XSLT.
We know that XSL consists of two parts: XSL Transformation Language (XSLT) and XSL Formatting
Objects (XSL-FO). In this section, we would cover XSLT in detail.
XSLT is used to transform one XML document from one form to another. XSLT uses XPath to
perform a matching of nodes for these transformations.
