Life in the trenches

Working on the campaign was an emotional roller-coaster. My entire universe became centered around the race between Barack Obama and John McCain. It was all I lived and breathed. I tracked new polls religiously and became addicted to The Huffington Post, TechPresident and FiveThirtyEight.com. I fluctuated between hopeful optimism and nerve-wracking despair.
