2. Accessorizing Your Cubase Studio

As mentioned in Chapter 1, Setting Up Cubase on Your Computer, Cubase and your computer system (including the sound card) are the most important elements in a great Cubase studio. In that chapter, you also learned how quickly technological changes can affect the way your Cubase system runs. After writing the last chapter, I decided to upgrade to a new Dell computer with a 2.4 Quad-Core processor, 4 GB RAM, and Windows XP Pro, with two 1 TB external hard drives. This system update is going to require about a month of heavy testing to make sure Cubase and my sound card have no major compatibility issues.
