Making Connections to an External Synth

Recording MIDI with an external synth works the same way as recording MIDI with a VST instrument. The only difference is that in order to hear the external synth, you need to wire both the MIDI and audio of the sound source to your system. There are several ways to achieve this, but I will show you the simplest and most direct way in this chapter. To keep matters even simpler, I will not display the MIDI Out of the keyboard connected to the MIDI In of the computer as I described in Chapter 2.
