As this book progresses, you will be examining the body of our character by specifc parts. That is to say, you will look at the arm independently of the leg in different chapters. Although this is necessary for a survey of sculpting the figure in detail, it is important to understand the figure as a whole before you begin. Think of this as a jigsaw puzzle.
