10 mM NaCl solution [20]. Then buffer solutions with different
sodium ions concentration range between 0.5 mM and up to
100 mM were used to obtain a calibration curve. Figure 4.4 shows
the results of calibration. As can be seen, the performance was linear
over the tested concentration range. These measurements showed
also an excellent sensitivity of 72 mV/decade at room temperature.
Again no change in the performance was observed when varying
the pH around the neutral value as observed for the case of calcium
ions above. Then the working electrode and the reference Ag/AgCl
