Azure Cognitive Services

Use AI to Solve Business Problems

Reza Salehi

Not long ago, it was a difficult task to build smart applications. AI capabilities had to manually be built in the application code. In most cases, small companies did not have the resources and expertise to do so. Azure Cognitive Services has changed the game. Now, you can equip your applications with state-of-the-art AI features using Azure Cognitive Services. Your applications can see, listen, speak and understand users. This is AI-as-a-service, meaning you don’t need to worry about maintaining this AI infrastructure. Azure takes care of that. You just integrate your application with easy-to-consume Cognitive Service APIs. In this hands-on course, we cover the Cognitive Services offered by Microsoft Azure.

In this course, we will go over Azure Cognitive Services one by one, understanding each service and its use cases. We will also get hands-on and see how these services make smart applications in action.

What you'll learn-and how you can apply it

By the end of this live, hands-on, online course, you’ll understand:

  • The Azure cognitive services (Decision, Vision, Speech, Search, and Language).
  • How to convert speech into text and text into natural-sounding speech and enable speaker verification and recognition using the Speech service.
  • How to add Bing Search APIs to your apps with a single API call using the Search service.

And you’ll be able to:

  • Recognize, identify, caption, index, and moderate your pictures, videos, and digital ink content using the Vision service.
  • Detect potential offensive and unwanted images or filter undesirable text using the Decision service.
  • Automatically detect languages, translate them and create custom translator for industry specific scenarios using the Language service.

This training course is for you because...

  • You aim to include rich AI (artificial intelligence) features in your smart application easily.
  • You’re a software developer, engineer or technical architect.
  • You work with the Microsoft Azure cloud.

Prerequisites
