Prerequisites

The Microsoft Certified Azure Security Engineer Associate is an associate-level credential. Accordingly, the learner needs to have a healthy skills balance among three Azure job roles:

  • Azure infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS) security, including virtual networks, virtual machines, network virtual appliances, and network security groups, among other resources
  • Azure platform-as-a-service (PaaS) security, including App Service, Azure SQL Database, Cosmos DB, and storage accounts
  • Azure Active Directory (Azure AD) security, including tenant security and Azure AD Privileged Identity Management
