Kiriti Badam is a software engineer specializing in distributed systems, databases, and storage, with over a decade of experience building scalable data platforms. He is currently a Member of Technical Staff at OpenAI, focusing on enterprise products in automated software engineering and automated customer support. Previously, as Founding Engineer for ML Infra at Kumo.AI, a Forbes AI 50 company, he led end-to-end ML infrastructure, built Snowflake-native integrations, and steered the company from idea to a scalable multi-tenant platform that trains hundreds of models daily, scaling from a single node to a distributed compute cluster with Apache Spark, Kubernetes, Temporal.io, and an in-house feature store over RocksDB. His earlier roles include software engineering at Google and a Big Data Lab stint at Samsung Electronics, where he designed data pipelines and recommendation systems for terabytes of daily data. He holds a B.Tech in Computer Science from IIT Madras and a Master's in Computational Data Science from CMU, and is based in Mountain View, California, eager to push ML into everyday use cases.
