Kyle Gorman holds a Ph.D. in Linguistics from the University of Pennsylvania. Before joining Google in 2015, he worked as a postdoctoral research assistant, and assistant professor, at the Center for Spoken Language Understanding at the Oregon Health & Science University in Portland. Kyle has worked on language variation and change, phonology, morphology and morphological processing, language disorders, and text normalization. He is a maintainer of the OpenFst library and the creator of the Pynini FST toolkit.
