Phillip is currently a senior studying EECS at UC Berkeley. He founded Machine Learning @ Berkeley, an organization on the Berkeley campus devoted to delivering quality machine learning educational content, engaging students in machine learning research, and having members lead projects with industry partners. Through the organization, he's started numerous educational initiatives, including the Data Science DeCal—a course teaching the fundamentals of data science and machine learning. His current research interests lie in adversarial machine learning, NPR rendering with deep learning, and neural network architectures.
