Understanding trends in financial markets, and estimating risks, is hard. This book does a nice job of showing introducing Python for number crunching and data analysis. I was able to review an early release version of Python for Finance by Yves Hilpisch....Although I was expecting to learn more financial analysis and algorithms, this book as it currently stands has a skew towards teaching the reader about Python and the various libraries. I was disappointed at the lack of financial ‘big data’ examples. The author covers the numpy, pandas and matplotlib libraries. Full Review  >
