We'll use real world examples in this webcast that demonstrate how to best utilize MapReduce with Hadoop. We'll also examine the appropriate uses of special partitioners, combiners, and configuration optimizations. We'll expose some common mistakes and how to avoid them. This webcast assumes the viewer is already familiar with Hadoop and MapReduce. Our goal is to present information that helps current users get the most from Hadoop.

About Ken Goodhope

Ken Goodhope has been Data Development Engineer with Intelius for the past two years. During that time, he has led the migration of legacy data processes into the Hadoop environment. Prior to that, he attended the University of Washington where he was first introduced to Hadoop by helping to set up a 64 node cluster. Currently living in Bellevue WA, Ken likes to spend his free time studying ancient history and astronomy.
