Jean Hollis Weber has a Master of Science degree and more than 30 years of experience planning, writing, editing, indexing, and testing user manuals and online help for computer software and hardware. Jean has worked with clients, written books, taught short courses in technical writing and editing, and presented parts of graduate and undergraduate courses at several Australian universities. In addition to writing books on technical editing, Jean wrote user guides for OpenOffice.org from 2002 to 2010 and was Co-Lead of the OpenOffice.org Documentation Project from early 2009. In 2010 she moved to the LibreOffice project and has been active there as writer, editor, and team leader since then. Jean maintains several web sites, including one for technical editors and one about LibreOffice.
