Klaus Goelker is an architect and photographer who lives and works in Munich, Germany. He also teaches courses on image editing at a local art school. He chose GIMP to teach this class because it was free and yet powerful enough to do serious photographic image editing.
"Well-written in a pleasant conversational style, this is a quality book--colourful, well laid out and printed on thicker, heavier grade paper than most, with 386 pages and about 3.5 GB on the companion DVD. I can recommend this book without hesitation for any intermediate to advanced photographer who really wants to get stuck into digital image processing."

"...an outstanding book that will take the reader from newbie to expert clearly, intelligently, and quickly. Digital confidence is yours for the taking!"
