The note on Page 316 states that if you have a state tax, you must use the QB
Enhanced Payroll program. That is not true. I am using QB Standard Payroll with QB
2006 in the state of Montana, where we do have a state income tax. The withholding
is all done automatically by QB. The only thing the Standard Payroll does not do is
prepare the state reports. This error is also
repeated on Page 331 in the "Note" at the bottom of the page.
