Josh (Beggs) Woodlander is founder and CEO of 1stWave Interactive, a user experience and branding agency in the San Francisco Bay Area specializing in web application design and brand development. Over the past 16 years Josh has performed user interaction design and branding for over 100 innovative web startups including Liquid Audio, Snapfish, Match.com, eBay, Yodlee, Nielsen/NetRatings, Clickability and Roxio.
Josh began his career in the multimedia industry as a
recording engineer and sound designer. In 1995 he produced the
interactive soundtrack for EMI Records flagship CD-ROM,
Queensrÿche's "Promised Land." After receiving impressive reviews from Billboard Magazine for the soundtrack, Josh went on to explore interactive media design with Raspberry Media. In addition to his passion for making the web easier to use he is an avid musician at heart and loves playing outdoors with his three children.
