I've been designing Voice User Interfaces since 1999, when I joined Nuance Communications. At Nuance, I designed IVRs for banking, travel, healthcare, personal assistants, and tourism.
Since then, I've worked at Tellme/Microsoft (on the Ford SYNC traffic app), and at various startups. At Volio, I created engaging one-on-one conversations with pre-recorded video. One of our apps allowed users to discuss style, hair and mixology tips with Esquire magazine columnists.
These days I'm Director of User Experience for Sensely, where our virtual nurse helps patients with chronic health conditions.
I have a B.S. in Cognitive Science and an M.S. in Computer Science.
