Lower right

Rational numbers are repeatedly defined as ones that can be expressed as a fraction. Pi/2 is a fraction but it isn't rational. The definition should be: rational numbers are the set of numbers that can be expressed as the ration of integers.

Note from the Author or Editor:
Under rational numbers, the second sentence should read "Any number that can be written as a fraction of two integers is a rational number."

Graph

There is misleading black dot at the y-axis close to -800, which should be erased as it has nothing to do with this exercise.
Plus the answer should show the calculated result of this exercise, which is 990 $ iso an approximate value from the graph.

Note from the Author or Editor:
Remove dot on the graph and notation that reads (0,12) .

Fill in table

The column "week #" of the fill in table is confusing and possibly misleading.
Ed has a cask for 10 weeks, so the second entry should read 4-13 (=10 weeks) instead of 4-14 (which would be 11 weeks).
And the subsequent entries have also to be changed: third entry 14-15 iso 15-16, fourth entry 16-21 iso 17-22

Note from the Author or Editor:
Confirmed. First column should be:
Week #
1 - 3
4 - 13
14 - 15
16 - 21

below the table

Ed starts with $24 not $12.

So these are wrong
"Cash = $161 a week times weeks + $12 he starts with"
"C=161t+12"
"y-intercept (0, 12)"

Same error on the following page.

Note from the Author or Editor:

Exercise Solution - towards the bottom of the page

The text states "Isolate the variable by dividing both sides by 150" but it shows, correctly I might add, that both sides are divided by 230. So, the term actually reads 15/230 = P, not 15/150.

Note from the Author or Editor:
change the annotation at the bottom of the page to "Isolate the variable by dividing by 230"

A minus sign has been lost in the working, with the error propagated to the following lines.

8x + 24x -16x = 2400 becomes 8x(1 + 3 + 2) = 2400

It should be 8x(1 + 3 - 2) = 2400.

Note from the Author or Editor:
change 8x(1 + 3 + 2) = 2400 to 8x(1 + 3 - 2) = 2400

Mystery description

On p. 273 where it says "Kathleen said that she bought twice as many dresses as shoes and got 6 things all together" it will be changed to say something like "there are a total of 6 bags, with 2 bags per dress and 1 bag per pair of shoes." That means that we'll keep the 2d + s =6 and then we still have parallel lines.
