Integration of the Data

The insightful and telling inputs and data have made this book invaluable to the learning and development function. As mentioned in chapter 2, there are eight sources of data for this book. The findings are not just CEO surveys or interviews, but a significant amount of data that has been compiled over a period of time. Figure F-1 shows the eight data sources described in chapter 2, labeled with numbers representing our assessment of the importance of this input. This distinction is risky, because all these inputs are important, and it’s difficult to say one is more important than the other.
